HK is lately full of good news (sans covid ofc..), keep up the good work

I agree. Cultural and political decolonization was averted for many years. Finally some action from the slow moving Zhongnanhai since 30 June 2020 albeit step by step. I have also noticed that Hongkongers that have worked for HK 'news'papers like SCMP are a willing source for western mainstreammedia to hire from because of their whiteworshipping stance like that hate mongrel Stuart Lau who now works for the Euro-American-centric Politico.

No worries. The new hotline for reporting tips to the National Security Bureau in HK is ringing every minute lol

The silent patriotic majority is working overtime for cleansing HK from its traitors

It is amazing how the Hong Kong verison of Apple daily newspaper could be sustained for so long despite all the boycott by Chinese and local conglomerates. Now is the time to shutdown the newspaper in Hong Kong as well. Apple daily's popular Next Magazine was known for introducing tabloid-style journalism into Hong Kong and Taiwan.

I love this from one of the poster in a post in social media in reply to a Taiwan post.

I reproduce it below. Enjoy reading:

Ok, English Vegetable of Taiwan Province, let me point out to you:
1. Jimmy "fatboy" Lai Chee-Ying is not a tycoon anymore. He is practically broke.
2. Jimmy "fatboy" Lai Chee-Ying is not a "peaceful" democracy activist/protester/investor.
3. Jimmy "fatboy" Lai Chee-Ying has been caught and even openly colluded with foreign countries seeking to destabilise Hong Kong and China.
4. Jimmy "fatboy" Lai Chee-Ying has been receiving funds from foreign countries and actively organised or participated in activities against China and Hong Kong.
5. Jimmy "fatboy" Lai Chee-Ying has been convicted of many crimes.
6. Jimmy "fatboy" Lai Chee-Ying has many pending charges, including NSL, fraud and money laundering.
7. Your Taiwan is not an independent country. Taiwan is a province of China. The Chinese Civil War has never ended officially and you do not have any qualifications or rights to comment about the legal affairs of Hong Kong.
8. It is proper and legally right to freeze the assets of any treasonous cessationist in any country, especially when government/s of foreign countries and violent acts are involved.
Finally, dear English Vegetable of Taiwan, please go back to your hole and continue sucking your American or Japanese sausages!

And while we on the subject of one traitor, here's the other. I love the caption on it.

The real good news is when there are ample jobs and low cost housing widely available to the people of Hong Kong so they would t be swayed by external instigators. A fly does not land on an egg with no cracks.
Housing is getting expensive in mainland China as well. The Central Gov can easily critisise HK for "muh high house costs" but if you look at the mainland Tier 1 cities they are all getting very expensive to rent or buy.

Unless Central Gov produces results then it shouldnt point fingers at HK like its own nest is all clean and covered.

If China with its authoritanian system cant solve the issue and is beholden to commercial interests then imagine HK which is a "democracy" (politicans are all bought and paid by the tycoons)

The central gov has started a campaign against rising housing prices but so far it has failed and the housing costs are now increasing in Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities.

Bunch of hotair from Xi. He speaks with flowery words but he doesn't implement meaningful solutions

Let me ask you:
Where is the national property tax that they have been talking since more than a decade ago?

Rumor has it that they are testing it in Shenzhen. Who knows if it works.

Doubt. Shenzhen's party committee just some weeks ago dismissed the whole governing officials for failing to control the uncontrollable rise of housing costs.

Housing had actually increased so much that there was concern that businesses would avoid setting up offices in the city !!

And even if we assume that what you are saying is correct then you know how China works right?

Expanded Pilot Provincially

Draft National Property Tax Law
Consultation between various government agencies and committees
Request Public Comment
Convene for 1st drafting of Law
Convene for 2nd drafting of Law

Pass the Law
Have 1-2 extra years for people to adjust

Man, by that rate it will be 2030 and they would still talk
Most Westerners think that China speed is very fast and Xi is a dictator. Tell them to check how long he has to wait to pass policies and enforce them, and then see how slow it takes lol
