They should make example of this Benny Tai. Cut his head, put on a pike and display in the busiest street so everybody can see and take selfies.

Well the CCP had the opportunity to lay off harassing the HK Opposition for a bit to reach out to Biden after he took office. Perhaps they're taking the view that if they just arrest everyone in the Opposition now they can agree with Washington later to lay off the arrests having already intimidated HKers not to stand for election against the pro-Beijing parties at the election.
Clearly that hasn't worked.

One final note, have any one noticed that people (and a certain member here) who are vehemently anti-China never mention China by name. They always say CCP this and CCP that. As if trying to de-legitimise China somehow.
Yet When mention the west, they don't say Republicans or Democrats did this or that. It is always a united front to lend more weight to its legitimacy.

So..HK police has detected those rioters groups about doing something evil. The 35+ plans and that Benny Tai's 10 steps scorched earth "burn with us" evil plan. That's why the police cracked those rioters last nite before they have chance to execute those evil plans. Good job Hk police!

I know. The idea of the Opposition trying to get a majority in the HK legislative and challenge the government's agenda is terrifying. Legislators should just be there to praise the HK government for doing a good job or correct typographical errors in draft bills.
It is so sad to see someone still in denial. So these opposition leader is great for democracy. This includes taking money and support from foreigners.
So if it's not right for political organisation in the west. (In fact, It is illegal to do so) whether in government or in opposition to take money, advise and support from foreigners.
So why is it ok in your mind for Hong Kong opposition to do so? Carry on smoking!
