The suggestion was a very good one, but unfortunately it is wrong.

The missile was launched on the 20" mark, and detonated at 26" or 27". In order for the missile to have exceed its operating range, it would need to have been flying near or over Mach 2 to have covered the TOW's 4.2km max range in that timeframe, which is about double the speed of the TOW missile.

Actually if you watch that video again there is a cut in the tape at 00:09 seconds from the railway line scene to when they show show the jeep on the highway therefore there is no possible way to know if that was the actual launch of the missile in question

There's others that have uncut launchs of missiles from operator trigger to impact this is not one of those so counting the time and distance is out

Here is another Tow class missile Gone bad.
IT could be anything, faulty wiring, Improper loading, a fracture in the Rocket line that causes the rocket engine to explode, Allah just not being in the mood.

Actually, it's not a TOW being fired but a Canadian Army Eryx (SRAAW (H) in CF designation) being fired by the R22R and simulating an attack on 2 T-54/55 moving from right to left.

Well, don't underestimated Jihadists, some of them have a lot more fighting experience than FSA troop and they are adapting fast to the conflict. Currently, I assess that the Islamic Opposition Brigades is a far more dangerous opponent to the Governement than the FSA.

Well, if we look carefully around 0:25 to 0:26, it seems that the missile (which can also be a Iranian Toofan BTW) spins out of control before detonating which could indicated that the control wire might had been cut/damage.

Missiles bouncing around pretty good some have circled a lot more than that check out some of the other videos they all move around in a circular moition some more than others if the wired guidance breaks the missile just goes off course doesn't explode like that

I know about those circular motion, but if you compared the last second of the missile flight with the first 3 or 4 seconds, you'll notice that the last spin has a very different pattern of motion. The amplitude is much bigger and the missile does move up-down at a very different speed (faster) than earlier in the video. I don't know if I'm the only one who actually noticed that change in the flight trajectory ?

And for wire-guided missile, some of them just goes off course, but it could also be some sort of self-destruct mechanism as a kind of failsafe.

The "Jeep" was not a Jeep, looked more like a armored vehicle.

I think they just spliced two videos togther. I'm sure you could hear the missile actually launch at the 20" mark. They just had two cameras set up with one aimed at the operated and another at the target so there is none of the wooded panning and missing the 'money shot' situations you get with a lot of guys who tried to film both events with a single camera.

Chinese should give them some PF-98s I wan't to see how it works in real conflict. PF-98 has more destructive power than RPG-7 and M79 Osa (90mm RR) what rebels use, it's HE projectiles would be really useful in urban combat.
