HAL has been told to increase Tejas output to 16 from next year. But HAL want more MK-I numbers committed.

There is now some preliminary discussion on an improved MK-I with certain new systems and better maintenance.
This will keep the HAL line buzzing till 2022 when Mk-2 production is expected to take off.

You posted this on both pages...you might think of choosing one or the other sometimes for the Tejas.

Anyhow, there is no link given for the "must read" and none of the pictures are displaying for me.
