Also, for things other than the first strike, I am a bit hesitant about how resilient the space layer will be.
In the Sino-American conflict, Space will be a theater of war. LEO constellations are momentarily ahead of the opposition(mostly because of the commercial revolution), but ASAT will catch up.
That is why the GEO optical telescope satellite is so important. Persistent stare at airbases over half the world.

Then a small constellation of MEO semi-synchronous IR telescope satellites with the sensitivity to detect jet plumes and transsonic objects flying over cold water.

Also GEO and MEO satellites are much harder to disable unlike LEO satellites
I have a theory that in a WW3 scenario, LEO satellites will be disrupted so frequently their reliability simply cannot be guaranteed.
Drones will be used to replace the work previously done by disabled satellites.

If LEO satellites are plan A then drones will be plan B.
I could be wrong but then again having a plan B is always a good idea.
