Just imagine someone throws a still-hot cigarette butt near their car, and it falls in front of one of the propane-filled tyres at a traffic intersection stop.I really wanted to see what would happen if they actually filled the tire with propane.

Honestly, at this point, one has to accept that they will get pwned if any state interest or any other Advanced Persistent Threat wants your data for some reason. A lot of the privacy stuff floating around (e.g. Signal) only deters the most casual of dragnet surveillances.
To have somewhat more protection from that, one has to:
- Never use any smartphone
- Better yet, never use any wireless connections
- Airgap all computers from the Internet
- If one has to get any sort of data (including softwares), adopt a one-way dataflow, where no data can ever leave the aforementioned computer cluster digitally
In the end, if you really want your data to be secure, don't put it in a digital format... or better yet, don't write it down, period. Not that one will ever be safe from the good ol' 5$ wrench attack.
