It is never going to work.
He doesn't understand that a system with multiple rotors is an unstable system, which requires feedback control (FBW) to fly. Farmers in China are good at putting stuffs together, but lack the mathematical knowledge which is quite often important.

this is impossible to accomplish in the coming 20 years, unless a company the size of lockheed or boeing gets involved. This had being attempted by quite a few american companies, but all have failed. the closest was dr something something i once watched on discovery channel, but even he only flew his prototype once for the sponsors, tied to a crane in case it failed.
If F35 can hover in mid air and even spin around for a bit, then something like this is definitely feasible, but had to be done by a group of highly sophisticated engineers.

It isn't impossible to accomplish. It's just that the farmer's version isn't going to work because he doesn't have any background in physics or control systems to put a FBW together.
