At this point, either would be an improvement.
That was a rhetorical question. Obviously, the point is, if they did it in secret, how would you know they did it? You couldn't even know whether what you're complaining about has or hasn't happened.
Your post still reads like a fervent believer completely unwilling to question the infallibility of his god. My intelligence isn't the issue here, I'm perfectly willing to admit the CPC is teeming with people far smarter than I am. The issue is your blind faith. Is there anything the CPC could ever do that might once make you think "hmm... maybe it would have been better if they did x instead of y."
Soldiers don't question generals. When they do, armies fall apart. To a soldier, the general is his god; his orders are supreme and they are to be carried out regardless of personal emotion. That is an effective army. My personal thoughts don't always align with those of the CCP, although they almost always do, but I know better than to think that I'm right and they're wrong because I don't have the data they have and they have proven to be the best team leaders in all of history. Having faith in your team leader is discipline; it is not religion.
Fine. Who is? Or does no one on Earth get to question your god?
A government that is superior does. Oh, you said that the CCP is the best by far? I agree; that's your answer. As long as your team leader delivers world-beating results, "Yessir" is your only response. Especially when it's been proven before in the long term that what I thought was wrong and what they did was right.
Sure, the CPC knows better than we do. But knowing and having the political will to act on that knowledge are two different things.

You say there is "a CCP", which one? Xi's CCP is very different from Hu's CCP. Before Xi came along and cleaned out the rot and corruption, would you have held the prior CCP in the esteem you hold the present one?

The only justification for the wholly unquestioning obedience you espouse is if China is in severe danger. If China were in that kind of danger, it should spend like it.
Discipline and trust are needed regardless of the danger level. Even after the US has been relegated, Chinese citizens need to give our best efforts to follow the CCP's directions to keep the nation ahead. Whether it is Hu's, Xi's or the next man, as long as the CCP continues to deliver the best results in the world, they should be afforded every benefit of the doubt and given trust and reverence beyond one's own opinions. If they falter, if China starts to fall behind, then we can revisit their credibility.

So did Chinese officials say "we will shoot down Pelosi's plane if she tries to land in Taiwan"? Did they say "we are going to invade Taiwan when Pelosi lands"? Serious question, i don't know what they've actually said but i have a sneaking suspicion those words were never said.

To me it's more and more apparent that there are about as many people in this world as i have fingers that still understand how to take official statements literally, instead of transposing their own fantasies into place of them.

I highly recommend trying to understand these things with an objective disconnected unbiased mind. It's difficult at first, but like anything you get good at it with practise.

The Chinese government said "do not come... we will make sure there are consequences, dire ones... do not come, it is an invasion of our sovereignty... do not come, our military is prepared for the many outcomes and conflicts that may eventuate..." things of that nature.

At no time did Chinese government threaten to shoot down her plane! who TF is saying that apart from youtuber comments from mostly Pelosi hating Republicans and obviously those who participated in Jan 6th insurrection and threatened Pelosi.

What is the point of moving equipment while she is already in the air? If China was serious about backing its warning with force, the landing ships would've been loaded and in the water before she even left for Taiwan. Now that it wrote a check it can't cash, Even if they decided to do something after the visit it would be too late. Having social media videos of tanks leisurely driving along Chinese beaches will do nothing to stop her from landing in Taiwan.
What are you talking about? There will be no amphibious assault until Taiwanese defences have been completely destroyed. That will take weeks in the best scenario.

If the war starts, will anyone care whether Pelosi was shot down or landed?

As I said earlier, it makes no difference whether Pelosi lands or is shot down. If I were Xi would guarantee the American side a courtesy and assure Pelosi wouldnt be shot down if American fighter pilots don't enter Chinese airspace. As fun as it would be to see a modern dogfight, it would be pointless.

Now it's time for war. Pelosi wanted to be part of history, she gets to be front seat with nowhere to run to. The only way she leaves Taiwan is through CPR custody or a body bag.

I wonder how the Taiwanese people feel once they realise what she's done to them. She will probably need PLA protection pretty soon.
