I agreed with everyone so far about not having women on the front line in combat role, but there is a need for their skills as far as interpreter and body search and checking for weapons when it comes to other women from another foreign country that may see this as offensive from the locals. I think there is a need for a specialize all women fire support units or individuals that are attached to the front line units for certain purpose and needs according to the situations on the ground of course, and should be open to all branch of the military for easier training and cost savings. They can learned all the skills of an infantry, mine sweeping, medical evac, linguistic skills, and communication skills on how to deal with any locals. These skills would help alleviate the burden of troops to be put into better use such as search and destroy patrols.

For sure, some specialized tasks would be beneficial using women's attention do details, such as military nurse, communication and logistics. But why create women-only battlefield units? For PR? A lot of other countries have high percentage of females too, but they're mixed with male counterparts. There's no special treatments, especially no female only platoons or companies.

Probably because it's easier for women-only units to live together.

Women are physically weaker than men, that's a fact. Everything else (attention to details, etc.) is just stereotype.

Mixing men and women together has a lot of drawbacks, as the women often face discrimination and harassment. What would be the benefit to counter those drawbacks? If the female candidates are exceptional, why not put them in their own all-female units where they can all be on equal footing?

They trained together but after training they most likely will be assign to a unit of their specialty with other men and women.

As a note the Israeli's army has an all women infantry units.

As for convenience, that's not a major factor. US military has very high percentage of females, although they do have their own sections of dorms, but during the day, they are completely mashed up with other male. And we all know that these women will never see front line battle, even if China gets into wars. Even nurses and communication operators will see more than those infantries will.
