I'm not saying it wasn't true but it was Axios came up with that story of China trying to steal the US's nuclear football under Trump while he was in China. It wasn't some sophisticated operation. They said some Chinese guy walked up to the US official carrying the nuclear football and tried to take it out his hands and walk away with it. Did China think they can just do that and get away with it? The story is so absurd you have to question it if it was true. Trump even denied anything of the sort happened. I don't know if Axios has friends in high places but that was one of their first stories they published when they first started and they're seen as a credible news source these days.

The only way to beat China is to fix all the problems in the US. Both Trump and Biden are just politicians that have no intention or will to make hard choices and fix real problems in the US. Focusing on China is just an attempt to divest real issues and discontent in the US.

I can't read any single western publications that write such drivel and baseless allegations riddled on this article. If I want to read such garbage analysis I need not to go further than read the many nauseating comments from the vast swathe of "China experts" on Reddit, Twitter, and more specifically here on sinodefenceforum.com. We have a bunch of intellectual powerhouse like @sleepystudent and his many aliases not to mention the recently awakened Mr.T.

It is not really analysis.

They are lost in the woods. They are searching for a plan.

It is what Iron Mike Tyson said, "Everyone has a plan, then you get punched in the jaw."

They got punched in the mouth, and realize they need a new plan.

However, in the ring, that plan is made up on the fly. Seems like most of the China analysis from America is just that, trying to find an idea.

The problem is two-fold for them. One, the cannot accept a lesser status in their minds. Two, they probably do not have enough to compete head to head with China today, then what about tomorrow.

The Americans cannot come to terms to with that.

So they keep trying to turn things around. That is what all these bad articles are for, it is a national debate for them.

They are still rudderless. China is a unique problem, because outsiders usually do not understand the place. They say Japan is the foreigner who understands China the best. However, like hell anyone in America will listen to Japan on what to do.

Every day that that they have no plan after being punched in the jaw, it just drifts away a little more every day.

Look at the Indians.

What has been their plan? To take on China, the world, and push India forward?

If their plan seems muddled and confused, like it has been for decades, then it shows up.

India is not gaining on China, but losing ground.

They probably losing ground to everyone.

So far I would say Biden's foreign policy has been a failure and he has miscalculated key moves like AUKUS, the Lithuania move and the Olympic boycott. For all his talk of pulling european allies closer, little has been achieved.

AUKUS pissed off france and had to broker some sort of secret deal to give concessions, probably by giving up/promoting rafales and fdi in uae, greece, indonesia. Lockmart is probably putting pressure on him to shut his trap.

Germany is still leaning on the fence and probably going to sign the investment deal despite getting a anti-china foreign minister. Lithuania got spanked and EU basically said "well don't be so naughty next time"

The Olympic boycott was so pathetic it turned US diplomacy into a joke. Not even their closest allies like South Korea or Poland or Singapore gave them face, while China managed to turn it into a grand welcoming ceremony for overseas delegates.

His personal disdain for the middle east is also showing results as key middle eastern states start to warm toward China.

And then there's the shitshow in Ukraine, where he's fearmongering and telling americans to leave, while ukraine desperately tells people war isn't coming, all while declining he would send troops to protect ukraine.

Come on man! It’s his first time as president. Cut him some slack! He was Vice President for Mr. Obomber after all. Just look at the praise he gave him during the 2020 election

Yet searing, anonymously sourced quotes from Obama kept appearing through the race. One Democrat who spoke to Obama recalled the former president warning, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to fuck things up.” Speaking of his own waning understanding of today’s Democratic electorate, especially in Iowa,

: “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.”

Biden, for his part, felt Obama too often let his head get in the way. “Sometimes I thought he was deliberate to a fault,” he wrote in his 2017 book Promise Me, Dad.

Ironic.

I'd argue Obama was the best US president out of the past few. He brought in a new era of american dominance through soft power (he was immensely popular even outside the US) while managing to hide American atrocities like drone strikes and guantanamo, while plundering european economies after the 2008 crisis and embedding US tech companies like Facebook. He even almost managed to forge an alliance that would have locked China out of economic eminence (or at least slowed it tremendously) through the TPP. Thank god Trump was elected and destroyed the TPP. The failure of TPP is the first of a long series of steps that will destroy american influence in asia.
