Death toll in Xinjiang riot rises to 140

Are those PAP? Can anyone identify?

Supposedly the immediate cause of the riot was that a group of Han migrant workers were arguing with two Uighur migrant workers accused of raping a Chinese girl. When the argument got heated the two Uighurs were killed, thus causing Uighurs in Urumqi to protest and riot.

from my sources that some 250-300 Uighur fighter from NWP and Helmand are "missing" due to military operation or they have cross Kakoram mountains already.....maybe those chinese taliban will bring the fight to their home land.......: nono:

If it was the case, why most of the dead were Ethnic Han Chinese and Hui? Why most of the dead were clubbed or stabbed to death, instead of being shot?

maybe the fight is with Han/Hui and the police bcz social unrest and poor living condition upset by the current economy....from the photo provided i can't see any Uighur people among the protestor

No. It's ethnic riot, we know for sure. It's caused by the two Uighurs being killed in a Guangzhou toy factory in a dispute with other Chinese.

Your forgetting China population is very large. Its not like other small nation populations, the larger population a country has its magnified in every respect. So having 10 people protest and 2 died, the same should be for say 1000 people and 2 people died? Come on, the bigger the riot in numbers the more violent its gonna get.

Security is always compromised if some people are allowed to carry weapons in public. Under such a law, a gang of robber can just "legally" carry their weapons on their way to a robbery. And things can easily get out of control when dangerous weapons are used during a riot. It only takes a few bad hats to attack the police with knifes to force them to start shooting.

In fact, from the civil unrest in many of the details can be seen, if there is no coordination of a unified command, almost at the same time so many people started to burn it is not possible vandalism, which is behind what is the command and coordination in the fight thugs get hit burn, think about it ... ... but no matter who, I do not think that is the life of ordinary people in Urumqi.

Then why are they just carrying out vandalism if they are just a bunch of knife whelding bums why is there not a bigger death toll of people being stabbed to death or is their a steady supply of murders by stabbing in the region?
