I think this is second of scheduled major refit, not really MLU, the first major refit was in 2018, major work involved resurfacing of top deck and repainting of the bottom Hull. That was around 5 or 6 years after commission. Current refit is about 4 1/2 year after the 2018 refit.

I expect MLU to be carried out around 2035. CV16 should serve for 40 to 50 years from 2012.
I wasnt exactly suggesting there will be one MLU and this is it. Yes, this is the second major work since 2018. I dont think we will see profound work like carried out then, given the 2018 work was done to bring the carrier in line with Shandong config (notably aviation C2).

That said I also do not expect a notably different MLU level event in 2035 or any other year. Likely IMO we will see more work along the current lines carried out a few years down the road. I am skeptical the carrier will remain service for 40 to 50 years and expect phasing out sooner. But thats just my guess.

An illustration from an academic paper on flight deck operations. Note that each J-15s are surrounded by two outlines. The inner outline represents the dimensions of the J-15, and the outer outline represents the space needed for the towing tractors to maneuver the J-15.

No it's not.

There is a difference between admin packed and operational spacing.
To wiggle aircraft out of admin spaced parks, you use manpower, not horsepower. Yes, it will take time to unpack and transition to an operational footing.

you are not serious ? no one parks like that

that is not standard parking on a carrier

doesnt mean its standard practice
