All political, because over 60,000 TWese have gone to Shanghai and Xiamen to get shots, while Tsai's approval ratings is down the toilet, heading to negative territory, her owner (the US) must do something.
India's fine, they still hate China while they burn their corpses, so no need for the US to help them out.

Yet the government had already clarified in April that they will also accept Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J shots
So who is spreading misinformation?

A Singapore chap gave a good reply to Reuters why he chose Sinovac. If I heard correctly, he brought up the fact that mRNA vaccines have been around for over 30 years and hadn't been approved for use on humans all that time until the arrival of the pandemic.
I recall that western media are quick to cite Hungary as one example of the low efficacy of Sinovac vaccine when the country had only mostly vaccinated its population with just the first dose.
Well, should we be surprised that these same media choose to be quiet when more of its population has now completed the second dose and the effectiveness of the vaccine can now be more fairly and properly assessed?
Surprize surprize, going by Johns Hopkins website the per day fatality for Hungary has been going down on a slide and has now gone down to single digit.
Seychelles, also a target of western media in regard to the vaccine efficacy, which uses mostly Sinovac, is also doing well with the overall fatality rate among the lowest in the world.
