AstraZeneca/Oxford doesn't want to get accused of whataboutism so it's COVID-19 that causes blood clots and not the vaccine so everyone please use AstraZeneca.

Bloody hell I can see these vaccines from the west as being some kind of trojan horse because not only they were developed so quickly but they didn't test them around the world or really did the necessary checks. The more I learn about this fiasco, the more scared I am becoming at this point
I don't think the world is going to return to normal anytime soon, with the mRNA fiasco and the mutants coming out of India... the world will be in some form of COVID induced lockdown (aka artificial demand destruction) for the next five years... or much more
What would be most ironic, is if in the haste to pump out the untested and unproven mRNA vacs in such a rush, later it was determined there is a critical flaw in these experiments that fatally terminated a large percentage of the participants long term... this might conceivably lead to the downfall of Western civilization itself and a large portion of population extinction thereof... all because of their greed and politics and blind hatred of China....
Since this is basically a DNA altering nano drug, imagine if later it was found that one of the long term effects of this mRNA vacs was that the person's children are unable to have children... then in three generations entire Western civilization would be wiped out from the face of the earth and they would have no one to blame but their own selfs
The Yankees are going to reach over 70% vaccinated by mRNA vaccines within 2021. China's more effective mRNA vaccines are still doing some testing. It looks like China will have to depend on internal circulation in 2022-2023.
I never really trusted the reporting when the pfizer and moderna kept on one upping each other in efficacy within like a week. So i will just give it time i have no need to get vaccinated this year yet given my health status and age, im not traveling this year.
Yep. China should have ramped up production even more faster than it already has.
The US 300 mln is nothing in front of China's population. So in order for China to catch up with it, it should have worked 4 times faster than the US.
Now it will have a problem with the US opening up and China remaining closed (China borders I mean, this is important for foreign investment)

The rush to get vaccinated is quite fishy given that their are new mutations that are coming out regardless of vaccines and also on major thing is that even if the USA is fully opened up right now, it means nothing if the majority of the population is well and truly broke without money.
I disagree with your assessment that somehow China’s economy will be affected in a negative way just because it chose to be prudent in terms of vaccine roll out rather than compete or race with the U.S. in terms of either innoculating it's vast population and or using MRna vaccine technology which is untested, unknown effects i.e. no precedents which means we don't know what's the potential side effects in humans and how soon or late can any of these side effects (I hope there'll be none) will be felt and or how severe.
China shouldn't simply race to be the first in everything but rather it's effort and focus should and must be on quality and safety of their products in every field of science. It'll come and help collapse the ongoing perception about Chinese made products and the perceived lack of quality not to mention safety.
