hahaha, yeah that is true but still most of the actions taken by the USA against China have been quite exaggerated given the sheer dispassionate nature of every action taken by the USA versus the sheer terror and revulsion that the USA shows when China responds appropriately, it is quite hard not be take an exaggerated response to the sheer injustice being done given the propensity of how far the USA is willing to go to force other nations to bend over while acting offended at any kind of resistance no matter how justified it is, hence the only way to stop a rabid madman from trying to kill you would be to break both his legs/arms to ensure he will stop coming for good since it appears that this is the only way to stop the USA from sanctioning and wage war against others for very inane reasons that ultimately becomes a lame excuse to start a fight against foes that cannot fight back, like that of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and even Syria. This coronavirus and the attempt by the west to paint China as the villain no matter what evidence that provides evidence to the contrary means that well, there is simply no reasoning with madmen

The fundamental problem with the Wuhan COVID-19 lab leak theory is that if it were true, we'd have seen the first superspreader events linked to the lab or its personnel, and not at that wet market (and no, the Chinese government, whether local or central, can't just magically erase evidence of such an outbreak. And even if they did, why didn't they lock down the city in September-October 2019, or also cover up the wet market outbreak in that case?)

Personally, I think they should have ramped up faster and even more, starting last summer.
Any spare capacity could be kept as a government-funded strategic reserve for the next pandemic.

Let's remember this is the guy running the CDC under scandals of contamination and also late on and couldn't get an accurate test for COVID-19 because of said scandals. Everyone knew back then this guy's reputation was hit so I wouldn't be surprised if this guy is trying to deflect attention away from himself.
