dayum, my biggest worry is not about his health but his vengeful character, he is been blaming China for coronavirus and he might want to take revenge by doing something extremely provocative towards China, such as initiating strikes in the scs

Of course given the context behind 我的祖国 (it being a famous song from the movie Battle on Shangganling Mountain, depicting the Korean War) and the current situation between China, US and Taiwan one could easily see the politics behind it. Although if you didn't know the movie where it came from there's actually nothing in the lyrics itself that would suggest anything anti-US about it. The closest is probably these lines:

If friends come, there is fine wine
But if the wolves come
Those who greet them have hunting guns

This part of the song is especially meaningful since in the fight against the coronavirus, China has had wolves coming and trying to scapegoat her for which China has countered by successfully fighting against the virus.

Remember that it is widely theorised that assassinating Hilter would not have prevented WWII. Trump is just a figurehead and lightning rod, and let’s be honest, a pretty bad speaker. I don’t think anyone here would believe he is bringing masses of new converts to the ranks of the extreme right through his eloquence and charisma, instead he is merely bring out people who were already believers and emboldening them.

If Trump can do that with all his character flaws and intellect limitations, imagine what a far right Obama could do...

While I myself have joked that the best Trump could do for America’s right against Covid is to get it himself and let more competent people take over, I think it would still be best if he recovers eventually.

This news throws a massive wrench in the presidential elections, and I have not yet worked out who this might benefit.
