There has been the question about whether anti-bodies give you immunity. Why don't they just report the number of cases of re-infected? They don't report it like how in the beginning they never mentioned how many people recovered. I mentioned early on how the county I live in just reported the number of infected on their website. With that you just saw a number and you think nobody is recovering and the number keeps rising. There's also because testing is limited you don't know how many people are infected that haven't been to a doctor so it's officially counted. Now they have much more information but only recently they even bothered to mention how many people recovered. There were reports in China as the virus hit the US that people were re-infected but nothing since. I read recently an article of how 13 crew members of the USS Roosevelt got re-infected. They were saying virus killing anti-bodies could be linked to how sick you are. Well did those sailors just test positive before but this time they got sick? Or did they go through a serious bout a second time? They throw out questions but it seems they don't even bother with the follow thru. I blame JJ Abrams for his infection of storytelling going throughout TV and movies. Now is his infection spreading through journalism. A lot of questions they bring up to get people hooked but no answers.

In Germany, infections are "official" because there is a law that every sample tested positive must be reported.

A new law requiring negative samples to be reported is in the works.

The number of people who have recovered is calculated, not collected. After a period of time, a person who has become infected is considered to have recovered if they have not died of the disease.

As of today, the following applies to Germany:
  • 178570 Infected
  • 8257 deceased
  • 161163 Recovered
  • 9150 active cases
  • thereof 874 in intensive care
  • and 550 of them are ventilated
