14 votes against only 1 vote in favor! The United States proposal was rejected, and Britain, France, Germany and Italy chose to support China-First Reading-

According to US media reports, high-level US leaders, led by US President Trump, requested the UN Security Council to add wording in the resolution on the new coronavirus, emphasizing the untrue content of the new coronavirus originating from China. This practice of the United States was rejected by the Security Council. In fact, the United States started to push the Security Council to do this a few weeks ago, but because of the disagreement among representatives of many countries, the resolution has not been passed. In the latest Security Council vote, the United States has been trying to join in the similar wording that “the new crown virus originated in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China” was overwhelmingly rejected. Fifteen countries participated in the vote, and the United States received only one vote, and they voted for it.

In other words, except for the United States, the remaining 14 countries voted for China, opposing the United States to add wording in the resolution of the new crown virus, China won by an overwhelming advantage. Even the old American allies such as Britain, France, Germany and Italy no longer stand on the side of the United States this time. They chose to support China. Fair and free people, through this epidemic, these countries are enough to see the true face of the United States, they also have a new understanding and understanding of China, China is really helping these countries. Experts analyzed that this time, allies in the United States suddenly turned against the water and chose to support China. This has a lot to do with China's vigorous support for this epidemic. China has made great contributions to the global fight against the epidemic. We know how much we have paid through a set of data.

Note:- Something I got via my WhatsApp. So I cannot give some kind of offical links . I was thinking of not posting this as perhaps this be classified as unsubstantiated rumour and I fear getting another week under cone of silence for this.

A firearm is of very limited use when going out in social settings, but a rifle like a M4 etc could be useful for home defence.

I don’t think you can get an actual M4 as a civilian. You can buy an AR and shorten it to make it an M4 equivalent. That would be nice, but you don’t need a rifle for home defense. A 9mm handgun has enough stopping power to knock down anyone.

According to this.

发布会上介绍,全国支援武汉的4万多名医务人员,到目前的统计,没有感染。
46000 medical workers from all over China worked in Hubei to fight coronavirus, not a single one was infected by the virus, good protection is the key to achieve this remarkable feat.

Yes, the selector is makes the difference. You can get Colt LE6920 SOCOM for example, and its not automatic. It is good for home defense you can mount a EOTech holosight and you are good to go. You can actually get the M4, but just not worth it, way too expensive, you have to jump through many hoops like getting a legal trust set up and paying that $200 ATF tax stamp etc... this is the same process of getting a suppressor which is also typically not allowed even in Texas without doing the extra steps... this is why a while back the whole laws with regards to 3d printing was such a big issue.

Two observations-
1. There is almost no single standard applicable in the US. In a crisis such as this whereas some hospitals refused kn95 masks some accepted them.
2. Suddenly 'low quality' kn95 masks become appropriate.

This is the story behind the KN95 approval.

N95 is a US standard. But other countries have their own similar but not exactly identical standards too. For example :

* EU - FFP-2
* Japan - DS
* S Korea - Korea 1st Class
* Australia/New Zealand - P2
* China - KN95
* etc.

For those of you who want to know what are the detailed differences, below is a technical comparison.

Comparison of FFP2, KN95, and N95 and Other Filtering Facepiece Respirator Classes

Just a week ago on March 28, FDA issued a directive to approve 6 foreign standards as equivalent to N95 and "appropriate to protect public health and safety", but conspicuously (and intentionally ?) left out China's KN95.

Then FDA realized that the majority of face masks available from Chinese manufacturers are KN95 because their biggest customers are China and European countries which accept the KN95 standard. So FDA has to scramble and approve KN95 on April 3.

Looking at the technical specifications, KN95 looks like a higher quality specification than N95?

When you hear about donations, is it from the government or private business? Was it donated or bought? The shipments of faulty Covid-19 test kits, those were mostly bought from third party vendors not donated by the government. Does the media care? I doubt it. They have a conclusion about China that comes first. The whole thing about ventilators for New York... Governor Cuomo in an interview I saw did seem pissed that he ordered ventilators from China and they were diverted to someone else. Now it turns out it was the US government. From a Chinese perspective it could've partly been seen as the US government is the higher authority therefore whatever they say goes. I would assume if it's from the government, it's donated such as the shipments and medical teams that went to Italy. Now China "donates" a thousand ventilators to New York. If true, the Chinese government probably saw how that looks bad and ordered 1000 ventilators to New York. Was it donated or the government ordering the company to fulfil the order?
