Basically the same in Alberta Canada.

I got the no taste/smell symptoms today along with tiredness, chest tightness and sour throat. Called the Healthline and was told to self isolate because it is probably just the flu. No running or stuffy nose but no smell, doesn't sound like the flu to me.

My Mom got COVID too but the rules here in North Texas says if you don't also have a fever of at least 99.6+ then no testing no matter what.

Our Healthline specifically asks if been out of country or in contact with someone tested positive. Basically in denial about community spread. And how would I know if someone tested positive or asymptomatic? Not like first thing people say if hi my name is.. and I'm a carrier. All retards.

So a few days ago based on the information known I had posted a theory of Wuhan being simply the first place Covid was discovered/recognized. It appears that this theory is gaining traction.

I mentioned the spread in China outside Hubei being limited as one piece of evidence. The low rate of spread in Overseas Chinese communities could be another clue. In Toronto and Vancouver, cases from China were in single digits for weeks. One student from Wuhan had isolated herself immediately without direction and was praised by the authorities for her mindfulness.

Ironically, the self-directed community response could have been helpful in limiting spread a lot. This is in contrast to the constant media attention on the wet market early on. ("Dirty Chinese Habits")

I am not sure who is the current editor in chief of Bloomberg. Seems to like to run a lot of anti-China reports with flimsy evidence to back it up (remember the "secret chips" report that was denied by every US tech firm?).

Bloomberg and "classified" sources keep pushing the "fake Chinese numbers" narrative. I feel like I should not even post this because it is "unsubstantiated" for sure. Logically speaking, if there was a coverup, overseas Chinese communities would likely be the hard hit and the Chinese government would not be able to control the story.

Did China publish new numbers for last night yet
I didn't check but I do think it will take a tremendous level of accurate cautious measures(both at the government and at the public level) to successfully fend off subsequent waves. Unfortunately (I really want myself to be proven wrong) not many nations can pull such a monumental task off.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately most states are saying something similar. Usually its if you don't need hospitalization you don't get tested. Hope things work out for her.

I had a bit of a health scare over the weekend, where I was feeling extremely fatigued, with a persistent strong headache and a sour throat.

It felt like the flu, only many times worse, which had me worried given the current climate.

First of all, nothing in this post is rumor so I hope mods won't delete this message.

The western media is coordinating a global blame China campaign based on lies.

Here's what the WHO (World Health Organization) said of China's response to covid-19:L

The WHO Joint Mission consisted of 25 national and international experts. It was headed by Dr. Bruce Aylward of WHO and Dr Wannian Liang of the People’s Republic of China. The Joint Mission was implemented over a 9-day period from 16-24 February 2020.

1. In the face of a previously unknown virus, China has rolled out perhaps the most ambitious, agile and
aggressive disease containment effort in history.
The strategy that underpinned this containment effort
was initially a national approach that promoted universal temperature monitoring, masking, and hand
washing. However, as the outbreak evolved, and knowledge was gained, a science and risk-based
approach was taken to tailor implementation. Specific containment measures were adjusted to the
provincial, county and even community context, the capacity of the setting, and the nature of novel
coronavirus transmission there.

2. Achieving China’s exceptional coverage with and adherence to these containment measures has only
been possible due to the deep commitment of the Chinese people to collective action in the face of
this common threat.
At a community level this is reflected in the remarkable solidarity of provinces and
cities in support of the most vulnerable populations and communities. Despite ongoing outbreaks in
their own areas, Governors and Mayors have continued to send thousands of health care workers and
tons of vital PPE supplies into Hubei province and Wuhan city.

3. China’s bold approach to contain the rapid spread of this new respiratory pathogen has changed the
course of a rapidly escalating and deadly epidemic.
A particularly compelling statistic is that on the first
day of the advance team’s work there were 2478 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in China.
Two weeks later, on the final day of this Mission, China reported 409 newly confirmed cases. This decline
in COVID-19 cases across China is real.

4. China is already, and rightfully, working to bolster its economy, reopen its schools and return to a
more normal semblance of its society, even as it works to contain the remaining chains of COVID-19
transmission.
Appropriately, a science-based, riskinformed and phased approach is being taken, with a
clear recognition and readiness of the need to immediately react to any new COVID-19 cases or clusters
as key elements of the containment strategy are lifted.

Conclusion
China’s response to the outbreak of Covid-19 has been exceedingly transparent, swift, effective and lifesaving.

However, the narrative has been hijacked by a few Western media outlets to propagate a cover-up using nitpicked events that were twisted to fit their narrative.

The reason it has been succesful is because it aligns with pre-existing Western biases about China’s government being untrustworthy liars.

and the following is a top down propaganda assault from the USA government.

White House Pushes U.S. Officials to Criticize China For Coronavirus ‘Cover-Up’

BLAME GAME
A State Department cable obtained by The Daily Beast says the U.S. and the American people are the “greatest humanitarians the world has ever known.”

As the number of coronavirus cases continues to grow at a rapid pace in the U.S., the White House is launching a communications plan across multiple federal agencies that focuses on accusing Beijing of orchestrating a “cover-up” and creating a global pandemic, according to two U.S. officials and a government cable obtained by The Daily Beast.
The cable, sent to State Department officials Friday, lays out in detail the circumstances on the ground in China, including data on coronavirus cases and deaths, the local business environment and transportation restrictions. But it also issues guidelines for how U.S. officials should answer questions on, or speak about, the coronavirus and the White House’s response in relation to China.
The talking points appear to have originated in the National Security Council. One section of the cable reads “NSC Top Lines: [People’s Republic of China] Propaganda and Disinformation on the Wuhan Virus Pandemic.”
“Chinese Communist Party officials in Wuhan and Beijing had a special responsibility to inform the Chinese people and the world of the threat, since they were the first to learn of it,” the cable reads. “Instead, the... government hid news of the virus from its own people for weeks, while suppressing information and punishing doctors and journalists who raised the alarm. The Party cared more about its reputation than its own people’s suffering.”

The cable was disseminated to officials at a time when the administration is engrossed in a communications battle around how to disseminate the flow of crucial health information to the American public while at the same time deflecting criticism that the White House was unprepared for the pandemic and that President Trump is at odds with members of his coronavirus task force.
One of the results of those internal deliberations appears to be a renewed focus on underscoring China’s missteps. Two U.S. officials working on the administration’s coronavirus response said the White House is pushing federal agencies to stick closely to the national security council’s talking points, especially when senior officials take to the podium, to ensure continuity with President Trump.
“These talking points are all anyone is really talking about right now,” one official said. “Everything is about China. We’re being told to try and get this messaging out in any way possible, including press conferences and television appearances.”
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Over the last several weeks top administration officials, including President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have referred to the coronavirus as both the “Chinese virus” and the “Wuhan virus.” Beijing’s leaders have pushed back on the designation, claiming the terms are xenophobic and inaccurate now that the virus has spread to dozens of countries across the world. American doctors and scientists involved with the administration’s task force operations continue to call it “the coronavirus.”
“The [Chinese Communist Party] is waging a propaganda campaign to desperately try to shift responsibility for the global pandemic to the United States. This effort is futile,” one of the talking points in the cable reads. “Thanks to the… cover-up, Chinese and international experts missed a critical window to contain the outbreak within China and stop its global spread. Saving lives is more important than saving face.”
But the administration isn’t just focusing on criticizing China, it’s also painting America’s response to the global pandemic as “extraordinary humanitarianism”.
“The United States and the American people are demonstrating once again that they are the greatest humanitarians the world has ever known,” according to the cable. “The United States stands ready to provide more assistance to China, if the Chinese Communist Party would allow us to do so.”

The cable notes that the U.S. has donated millions of dollars worth of medical supplies and provided financial assistance for countries trying to fight the coronavirus.
As of last week, about “95 percent of China’s cities and prefectures had reported zero new cases in the past 14 consecutive days as of March 19, including 16 of the 17 prefectures and cities in Hubei Province,” according to the cable, which noted that the State Department had conducted an analysis of the data.
“Cases among Chinese travelers infected in other countries accounted for virtually all the new cases reported outside Hubei since March 13,” according to the cable. “While the vast majority of these cases are Chinese nationals, the first confirmed imported case of a U.S. citizen was reported in the Shanghai consular district.”
Meanwhile, in the U.S., the number of positive coronavirus cases ticked above the 20,000 mark Saturday morning, with more than 270 deaths reported.
