If you bought masks on Amazon and they're being delivered from China to the UK, then it's not Amazon that is the seller. That’s why I said I would be very interested to see if my amazon order arrives. If it does, then that is circumstantial evidence that if there is an interception programme running in secret, it is exempting big retailers like amazon. If so then that is massively discriminatory, but not really surprising since if Amazon were ‘loosing’ packages to customs en mass, they would know about it pretty quickly and can then rumble the whole operation with a single press release.
They still come in your amazon standard issue postal packets, so either the 3rd party sells get these from Amazon, or 3rd party sellers send their orders to an amazon central logistics hub which then processed the goods and send to end customer. If you bought masks on Amazon and they're being delivered from China to the UK, then it's not Amazon that is the seller.
It's a private 3rd party seller like on Ebay.
I've heard of numerous mask packages arriving fairly quickly from China to the UK recently.
