pure fallacy. Two of my coworkers who had 4 shots of vaccines just got COVID recently.
Vaccinations will only reduce the severity of symptoms and the chance of infection, not eliminate infection.

If the rest of the world (namely USA, Italy, UK and other western countries) were competent in locking down the spread early on, before it spread to populous developing countries like India, there may have been a chance of halting Covid.

Unfortunately that was not the case, and the best approach is a thorough prevention system (e.g. dynamic zero covid) plus vaccinations to reduce the impact to those who do get exposed

This is getting silly

Its indeed silly to be swabbing fishes for Covid testing, but I do agree with testing seafood and other products for Covid, just that it should be through other more efficient methods, like maybe test the water the fish was in using the same method used in testing sewage water samples for Covid, or just sterilize the product if possible without poisoning it.

It's just a fish/food from a batch I assume. This is probably the cheapest way given the infrastructure is already in place.

I'm not biologist, but I am guessing you prob have to be a mammal to contract covid. I just find some of the things that China still do are not usefully and just adds overall doubt. IE, they still do the mass cleaning/fogging of streets

But you don't even need to be alive (not mentioning being a mammal or not) to have the virus on you. The Covid virus has varying lasting time on different surfaces. It is well-known that cold-chain related products are perfect for the virus to stay on. There has been no shortages of cases and even localized outbreaks as a result of viruses on cold-chain related products.

There isn't even a shortage of cases/localized outbreaks as a result of viruses on non cold-chain related products shipped from overseas. So all packages shipped from outside of China are disinfected. If you keep a tap on Chinese news in China, testing seafood is not even controversial. This is nothing new, it even started from as early as mid-2020.
