本土病例181例 new symptomatic cases (Shanghai 上海84例 and Beijing 北京58例)
本土951例 new asymptomatic cases (Shanghai 上海784例)
Another 1 deaths in Shanghai.
Pretty concerning that the cases recently have been hovering at that amount, but they did claim all those cases are in a closed-loop isolation so it shouldn't affect the resumption of businesses outside of the area, hopefully.

The U.S. will be lucky if they don't have a recession this year.
It's sooooo American to declare this kind of "data" in mid-May LOL Not only the general idea, but to state specific numbers as if they are fact, then make extrapolations about how stunning a victory it is (will be) only pat themselves on the back over something that will likely never even happen.

They have a habit of declaring their victory too early, and exaggerating their enemy's losses or "incoming collapse" based on small hiccups.

This goes way beyond declaring victory too early; it's not even June and these people are putting out fantasy year end numbers to the tenths of a percent! They've lost their minds. Declaring victory too early is if the lead runner in the 100m does a fist pump at 90 meters but gets out-toe'd in the last few inches. This is like the slowest runner right after the semifinals doing an interview saying, "And soon, tomorrow, I'm gonna break the world record; it's gonna be 9.52 seconds, and Usain Bolt is gonna run a 10.75 because he's too tired to do another 9.7 like he did today. And that would mark the first time since his junior run 23 years ago that someone has beaten Usain Bolt and the first time in 12 years that someone has rewritten the world record! So cheers to me for finally beating Usain Bolt tomorrow and getting the world record I always deserved!"

Hmm, still nothing to worry about yet. If this does kicks off, do we need a monkey pox thread?
Problem is that it has a long incubation period of up to 21 days before symptoms start. What they are dictating now could have been spreading in the community weeks ago. By this time, these patients could have already spreaded to other partners.

With my temporary access pass, I can get out one person per family, two hours at a time, once every three days. Hopefully it will continue after three days, some districts opened this policy and found that there would be cases on the social level so they all shut back down again. Come to think of it, I'm lucky that a friend of mine who lives in Pudong hasn't been able to get a temporary pass yet, the odds are 4% and I can get one straight away. And my PCR tube in the morning and the shop on the street with the locked down sticker on it.
