In a few weeks, India faces the prospect of every hospital in the country running out of oxygen at some point.

I reckon India's real demand for oxygen is a bare minimum of 15000 tonnes per day, which is twice the total production capacity.
There are a lot of people who can't get admitted to hospital because there isn't enough space or oxygen for them.

Plus the curve will still be ramping upwards for at least another 2 weeks.

India is looking to import medical oxygen, but somehow China has been left off the list.

The Centre has asked Indian embassies to explore options on importing oxygen. A communication to this effect has been sent to Indian embassies in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Italy and UAE, according to people in government.

Lmao literally Trump supporters denying to use ICU beds so that they could "own the liberals"!

I am sure that China is feeling very "owned" right now by India not requesting oxygen supplies from it.

Xi is sitting in the corner right now and he is literally crying after Modi didn't choose Xi to give him help. Xi must be having PTSD for not saving Indian lives, while Modi must be feeling very proud for "owning the Chinese".

"In some parts of India, like Mumbai and New Delhi, as high as 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 people are testing positive, [and that’s] actually, again, an underestimate."

Article stated that there was a deepening disparity in COVID containment between USA and India. As though USA was doing a very good job fighting COVID.........

"Like many poorer countries across the developing world, it seemed to dodge a bullet during earlier stages of the pandemic, leaving most of its population untouched — and lacking any immunity." - this is my worry for Africa and the rest of the Third World that seemed to have been relatively unscathed. And of course this could prolong the pandemic further

"Less than two months ago, [India's] health minister announced that it had entered “the endgame” of the pandemic, and mass gatherings — cricket matches, large weddings, election rallies — promptly resumed." - well they screwed up and indeed are infecting the rest of the world now. I have to take back my earlier statement that Indians were not a high-travelling population.

What I read was the second shot on both Pfizer and Moderna people experienced increased side effects but the first shot was less for Pfizer and more for Moderna while the second Moderna's was less than Pfizer's. There was a table I saw of what people experience on first and second shots.

I gotten Pfizer. First shot got nothing more an ache on the arm(much like muscles ache). Second shot felt headache, feverish though temperature never went up. My colleague who took at the same time didn't experience any of the syndrome.
