One can also argue that the Chinese are hiding something. I’m not saying that I support the US in this regard. I’m just looking at this issue from a neutral perspective. Once the WHO assembly convenes in May (I think), I believe some of the truth will start to come out.
After the Iraq WMD fiasco and the recent Western accusation on the "Xinjiang genocide" based on completely fabricated "evidence", you cannot blame China to be overly cautious.

Don't look so neutral from what I am seeing. More like assumption of guilty but just not saying it out aloud.

Full access to raw materials were never agreed upon. The WHO team has all agreed that they got accessed to many critical data but just the raw materials for some patients. I am open mind about granting access of raw materials to the WHO team.

However. when I see how the UN human rights groups and the Western media and the US keep calling Xinjiang genocide. It is apparentet to me that more transparent wouldn't make a difference. They would just fabricate more fake news and cherry pick information and misinformation and jump to their own conclusion. That's why I strongly agree with the Chinese government that whatever giving to the WHO should be extremely careful.

Actually, read the article carefully. This statement is not by the WHO. This was a statement by the US and their dogs in regards to comments made by the WHO. I didn't catch this at first either.

So here is some fodder for you. Enjoy

The "expert" quoted is not a doctor, medical professional, or medical researcher, not a scientist of any kind. Yanzhong Huang is "senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations", his credentials are being a professor of international relations at Seton Hall. A political guy.

He has written a "Sick Man of Asia" article

From the looks of his other published works as well, he seems to be pushing a regime change theory based on a decline of public health services.

Chinese Foreign Ministry urges to conduct further research in other countries to trace origin of the virus.
No where was there any reference to so called withholding of raw data. Raw data issue is not new, but was brought up by the foreign media after the WHO team completed its mission in China. This was already refuted by a few members of the WHO expert panel.

Dr Tedros said the team had difficulty accessing raw data and called for "more timely and comprehensive data sharing" in the future

China should insist on raw data from the other countries that have reported evidence of coronavirus cases (earlier than the outbreak in Wuhan) before agreeing to provide the raw data.

Statement on the origins of coronavirus from the governments of Australia, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Republic of Korea, Slovenia, United Kingdom, and United States.
Together, we support a transparent and independent analysis and evaluation, free from interference and undue influence, of the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, we join in expressing shared concerns regarding the recent WHO-convened study in China
Japan was a bit expected but Korea must have stung for China. Also note that almost all these Baltic/Eastern European States joined in the US party.
These countries will become the new "Britain" inside the EU to push it against China

Together, we support a transparent and independent analysis and evaluation, free from interference and undue influence, of the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, we join in expressing shared concerns regarding the recent WHO-convened study in China, while at the same time reinforcing the importance of working together toward the development and use of a swift, effective, transparent, science-based, and independent process for international evaluations of such outbreaks of unknown origin in the future.

Is there a reason you have omitted the last lines?
