Chinese civil aviation will be the final nail in the coffin of western economy. Once that is done everything else are non-neccesary products like luxury item and service. In event of war there will be total collapse as they lack every key product to function, while all their luxury goods are worthless.

I appreciate your enthusiasm of the C919 but can we please stop with these bullshit claims. The West isn't going to suddenly collapse just as China isn't.
I am not saying C919 is better and what not. Chinese market alone would represent an immense loss of Airbus and Boeing (already happpened for Boeing). That is assuming China never export their plane. There is a high chance global south and middle east will also prefer Chinese plane for the cost. The loss of market share will be immense and Boeing and Airbus will be forced to cannibalize each other to stay relevant. The first C919 has been delivered so has the first domino been cast.

Chinese aviation industry is still highly vulnerable to sanctions. Only later in this decade will this cease to be the case.
The West used to have major competition from Soviet aircraft builders with aircraft like Tu-154 and Il-62. With the collapse of the Soviet Union they have had a free ride for like 3 decades. It is time it ended.

I'm betting money that the C919 LEAP engines will be sanctioned sometime between now and 2024 if there aren't significant Boeing orders going forward. Once that happens, what's going on in the semicon industry is going to happen to the aerospace industry. It's almost like America wants to sell nothing but soybeans.
