This happens when the sociohackers in the politics try to do job that needs math/engineering skills.


The pre-requisite for wind/solar and electric transport is the cheap and abandunant storage capacity, but the investent into that area laggin by 15-20 years behind the actual windmils.

Means up to this point they used for storage the writen off coal/natural gas power plants .

As soon as they stop to produce out the quadratic relationship between the randomly changing wind speed and power generation become obivous. And all cost structure up to this date gone down on the drain .


Still no visible sign about that the windmills and solar panels could cheat the "limits of growth "
Isn't that why China is building up its Ultra High voltage electricity network to transport electricity on a continental scale and create a more central energy market?

Here in the Netherlands they did exactly what you said invest in Wind and Solar energy. But given the network is privately managed no company though about starting upgrading that shit 20 years ago. So now you failures in our energy network because there is either too much or too little energy being distributed. At least that is what i understood of it.

Going forward, we're going to see more and more countries experiencing unpredictable weather patterns and freak natural disasters. Those with weak infrastructure and construction capabilities will not be able to keep up, and sadly developing countries may see their economic development disrupted by them.

I think China should strengthen their infrastructure for a future of unpredictable weather, and use the opportunities brought by the chaos of climate change for geopolitical and economic benefits.

As the climate change worsens, many previously habitable places become inhabitable, forcing those to seek better grounds. This will have massive consequences on economy, as all those investment in the the now inhabitable lands, becomes useless. While more pressure and stress will be put on "safe havens" to accommodate those new migrants, causing a widening income gap, high unemployment and homelessness, etc.

Countries will have to figure out how to tackle this problem in the future, as it will only get worse, and there's no quick solution to climate change. Invest and strengthen infrastructure, develop welfare programs to help those migrants settle in and reduce inequality, reserving and rationing materials, these are some of the solutions that come to my mind.

Time for another climate doomer article

As the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere increases, oceans become more acidic and more unable to support aquatic life. This will have a massive negative effect on countries whose economy rely heavily on aquatic industries like China, Philippines and Indonesia, and those that source most of their calories from seafood like Japan, China and Vietnam.

Although the more developed countries like Norway and China has pursued farming over fishing are better equipped to be prepared for this change, poorer countries like Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam that rely heavily on fishing will find themselves unable to support themselves on those industries or source their food from the seas, worsening unemployment and food insecurity.

Overall, I'm going to miss eating fish balls for cheap.

Oh boy, this is beyond my expertise (but I'm not even an expert at anything) so I'll try to explain the gist of it based on my layman understanding from the article and ask anyone here with knowledge on Aeronautics to chime in. So hotter air, means thinner air, which means more lift needed to keep the airplane afloat.

I think this will have big implications for both civilian flights and possibly military as well. Because this means an overhaul in design of the airplanes/jets to meet safety standards, and more maintenance/safety check to make sure that the plane is in good condition.

We might even see military planes being forced to fly at lower attitude or only operate at during a certain time of the day or months, because of the cost and time it takes to retrofit them to adapt to the current environment. Personally, I'm excited to see these challenges, and want to see what solutions they can come up with to deal with them.

To top it all off, we're currently experiencing grain shortages, which will be further worsened by drought, fertilizer shortages and crop failures.

I guess getting a chicken dinner is going to be more expensive in the near future.

It already too little too late, and there won't be any chance of a global coordination to keep carbon emissions low. We all just have to learn to adapt to the new environment, and develop new technologies to manage the negative effects from climate change.

Just hope that we'll reach a point in the future, that we're advanced enough to start geo-engineering our broken world.
