I think it was 2018 instead of 2016.
They are same aircraft, but different engines. The 2018 version is single engine (probably WP-11C), the 2020 version is twine engine (ZF-850). WP-11C was just a stop-gap during the development phase not meant for mass production.
Nope...2016. It may also have made an appearance in 2018, but if so I didn't snap a photo.

An interesting in-flight image of the AR500 helicopter drone.

A bit off topic, but wow, those Turkish users in the comments are very salty about this... They claim their UAV is far better and that Nigeria should've bought theirs because only 2 foreign countries operate WL2. But the fact is, it's a relatively new vehicle and more countries operate the previous WL1.

strange, that tweet was deleted ... but here are the images:

So many types of UAV designed, how many of them are in use by the Chinese military ? Could so many types become a logistical headache ?

Most of these are commercial companies developing models for export.

This is something relatively "new" for following Chinese military development. The proliferation of private/semi-private exporting companies means a lot of unofficial products that may or may not be indicative of adoption.
