That is really cool! and very terrifying. It has a terminator feel to it. Instead of tear gas canisters, imagine it firing 35 mm or 40 mm HE grenades and in a swarm ambushing a convoy or attacking an insurgent base, then disappearing into the hills moments after. With current technology this can be all coordinated from a tablet or laptop.

Indeed both cool and terrifying!
Can anyone be kind enough to shed some light on possible counter-measures, please? All I can think of is only EW. Most conventional AAM can NOT hit them due to minimal targeting altitude, right? (I mean, they can be as low as only 10~15m). Gun shot will have chance but you could be using hundreds to thousand rounds, and still no way to be sure.

Well laser has already been standard security solution against low altitude low speed airborne target. There's also other DEW concept in developing and some of them are man-portable. Couple that with EW as you mentioned. Yes a sneak attack from a window is still difficult to counter but we have a direction here.
