Looks like the export version from the IFF antenna in front of the cockpit.

What are the mass production figures looking like? A nation of comparable industry (so basically only the US) has thousands of trainers.

It's really important for China to catch up in these raw numbers.

I'm confused :) JL-10B has twin AI-222-25F engines with A/B. And another option called the "L-15AW" powered by two AI-222-25 engines without the A/B. And in several posts above are photos of the 2019 Nanchang Airshow from and, as it seems to me, is the “L-15AW” and not the “JL-10B". Or again all the names changed?

Nope ... so far the designation JL-10B is only a rumour and all so far delivered JL-10s to the PLAAF are all using the regualr AI-222-25 engines without the A/B:

They are called

- JL-10 (regular PLAAF variant without a radar)
- JL-10H (regular NA variant without a radar)
- JL-10A Status 02 (regular PLAAF variant with a radar:

)

The designation L-15AW is for export (

) with the radar and also without the AB engines, but with a radar and the new fin-cap.

So far there is one known similar aircraft within the PLAAF also equipped with the with the radar and the new fin-cap but also without the AB engines. This - maybe I'm responsible for the confusion - variant is sometimes called JL-10B or for the moment JL-10A (status 03:
