The rejection of China's official propaganda channels by international audiences may also be a contributing factor. After all, simply speaking positively about China often results in being labeled as part of Chinese propaganda, let alone videos released by official Chinese channels.
Dismantle the Western funding for propaganda for even half a year and you'll see how little of that criticism is actually organic. Every accusation is an admission, and so you'll understand there's a reason why the online criticism against paid Chinese posters/content is actually an admission of what the West has long since been doing for their own online and offline media environments.
