Apple seems to be the exception.

@Kaeshmiri  it permeates in my family, I'm the only one using Huawei and when my children want a new phone, its Huawei or no way! as usual my wife will intervene and buy the latest IPhone so that she can give her old phone to my kids as a justification and I can't argue back as I said from my previous post I'm a proud member of WAR (wife always right).

Apple consumer electronics may not be worth the price but they are indeed high quality products and the ecosystem is great. I would argue that the fact that they are overpriced is a draw TBH.

There's a great story about a brand of Sake in Japan that was insanely expensive. The company reduced their prices to try and sell more but their brand then collapsed. Turns out people bought that liquor mostly for banquets or gifts to show off. The enormous price tag and insinuated status/flex was actually core to the brand.

Also, Apple, especially under Tim Cook has taken great pains to do right in building and maintaining their Chinese supply chain even in the face of hostility by the Mil-industrial complex. Hard to be mad at them.

@antiterror13 Sir another one the EU will pass an EUROPEAN CHIP ACT, will these affect TSMC or they will be incorporated? the EU wanted to develop their own chips without American technology, if that happen it will become a 3rd bloc together with that of the Chinese and the American new Fab in Arizona. will these hollow out the Taiwanese and SK IC industry?

@huemens so bro what will happen to their plan construction of 6 FABS 7nm in Kaohsiung? I think the CCP strategy to focus on 28nm and 14nm chips is the right one, that is where the demand is and the Chinese crackdown on Bitcoin may affect the demand for 7nm chips.
The thing is that they still cannot mass produce 5nm and 7nm, that is why they focus on 14nm and 28nm. Bitcoin miners worldwide are still printing money with bitcoin mining. Even Chinese miners are still doing it outside of China.

They it tried in India, but the Indian market and supply chain are still crappy.

I was disheartened to read this. I switched my all Apple family to all Huawei. And I am in Canada.
