Here's the other one, The strategy may look strange but Ren Zhengfei may had taken and follow LIU BOCHENG saying at heart.

WHEN YOU KEEP MEN AND LOSE LAND
THE LAND CAN BE RETAKEN
IF YOU KEEP LAND AND LOSE MEN
YOU LOSE BOTH

Where did you learn this kind of stuff? Do they teach this in Philippine?

I'm impressed. LOL.

I thought this was a Mao Zedong quote?

I think you're right.

But the fact that ansy1968 even knew who Liu Bocheng was and could make a not-so-farfetched connection between that quote and Liu is what impressed me. I mean you would need some familiarity with modern Chinese history to even dare to suggest that.

Gadolinium (Gd) is a rare-earth metal. It can be also use as a target material for LPP production of EUV light. The wavelength of Gd emitted EUV is 6.7 nm, which is 1/2 of Tin emitted EUV (13.5 nm). 13.5 nm EUV is the current most advance technology used by ASML. Gd EUV research is currently done at the academic labs.

Hi siegecrossbow,

Correct, but ably use by the one eyed Liu Bocheng in his campaign. Especially in his thrust to reach Dabie mountain that led to HUAI HAI Campaign.

Liu Bocheng is my dad favorite general. But Lin Biao too is actually great general the "Napoleon of China" only lost 1 battle thru Chinese civil war
Now this quote definitely rebut the idea of Human wave attack that is insinuated by western press to take account of failure to beat PVA in Korea. I mean they use it occasionally no doubt about it But from what I read the account of Chinese civil war as a kid they don't normally sacrifice people for nothing like Banzai charges. Since they are guerilla army short on manpower and short of munition They need to conserve those 2

We may be deviating from this thread and it's better we open up a Modern China History discussion.

As all HUA QIAO, we all seek to reconnect with our heritage and thank god for the internet since there is so few English literature about China.

I had one here about a paper on the Huai Hai campaign provided by Xinhui, can't able to attach due to space constraint, hope you can google it. Leavenworth Paper number 22, Moving the Enemy

Huh, wonder if it'd replace or compliment research into high NA (0.55) EUVL?
