Yeah, and what happens if they don't properly maintain it after firing so many rounds? Like I said we don't know what happened

It could be any 125mm smoothbore ammo. It might be Norinco, but we don't know. Stop with all the speculations because it could literally be anything.

If China stay quiet and Norinco act ignorant, yes, people will think that Chinese's military weapon are junk. Norinco must send their engineers to Thailand and investigate the problem, and fix this VT-4 ASAP. This act can become an effective anti western propaganda. If this VT-4 can work again in just some days of fixing, it will boast China's narrative. But if China stay quiet and Norinco doesn't do anything, it will become a bad problem. If Norinco stay quiet, Chinese government must investigate Norinco's management and bring those Corruptors to justice. But it will cause a lot of turmoil. The best choice is to send Norinco Engineers to Thailand, and publish their effort to fix VT-4.

If you think Western media will report positively because of what Norinco does then I’d have a bridge to sell to you. On this very forum an editor on a major naval news site have not issued an apology for falsely claiming that 052D has not water proof doors even after being confronted with video/photo evidence three years prior.

I don't know what is there to argue about Chinese export weapons. If you pay junk price, China will sell junk quality to you. The motto is that China has something to sell to you depending on how much you can pay. I think China, maybe until recently, simply do not care about the reputation of its export weapons as long as they make money.
Also from day one, we already knew the the Thai VT4 are low configuration compared with Pakistan ones. It is no wonder they chose a 80s cannon for its main gun to keep price down.

Did Norinco come out to clarify reports that Nigerian VT4 require 30 minutes to open fire?
