I think these type of designs might be going for compactness, the propeller should be detachable to make the whole system fit in a tube for ease of carrying, I doubt they fly better than conventional quadcopters.

Props are not detachable but foldable. You can even see the some of the blades are slightly bent in the photos. That way you marry compactness with rapid deployability.
