Two types of towed trailers designed specifically for the Mengshi series. The older type has one pair of road wheels. The newer type features four wheels and has its own steering and braking systems. The trailers are designed to carry ammo and supplies, including up to seven days of drinking water and food for sustained operations.

Isnt remote weapon station a bit overkill for cheap Mengshi?
RWS's at this point are becoming standardized for all vehicles in any modern militaries. In this case, having a RWS on a Mengshi vehicle can prevent the user from getting exposed to fire, negate the need for extra armor for the gunner, and increase accuracy. Based on videos released by the PLA, these vehicles are typically used for rapid reaction, counterterrorism, and border patrol, so those soldiers are going to need every advantage they can get.

By getting rid of the top cupola, it also increases handling, by lowering the center of gravity, not that you would take it to the track of anything.

Also, reduces possible casualty in the event of a roll over.
