Those are simply not the same chassis.Here's that 8x8 self-propelled assault gun without the add-on armor plates and hubcaps. For comparison, the last two images show the vehicle with add-on armor. Interestingly, the armor plates cover up the viewing ports on the sides of the vehicle.

I will. Sorry if it made it difficult to read.
The new chassis has a higher bulge in the back of the hull, unlike the older one. My guess is that it's just testing the turret on different chassis for experiments.

Look up the definition of chassis in the automotive sense.
Then that's indeed the same chassis. What I wanna say is the hull is different.
