Really? Isn't this particular rocket launched years ago by Xiamen uni and presumably with some PLA funding and interest? What's the Jiageng 1 rocket/vehicle got to do with any combined cycle engine tests which were done by another vehicle just last month?

It does not look like a regular rocket that's for sure. The wings and the shaping below the nose suggest it is made for gliding and perhaps even has some form of air augmentation. Regular rockets carry the oxidizer in the rocket. Still we can't see any air inlets. Are they covered by the students? Or does this particular prototype not have air augmentation at all?

Interesting they name is Jiageng aka Tan Kah Kee the founder of the universtiy a Nanyang Chinese from Singapore who spend all his considerable money to built the school when he was warned by his accountant that he will ruin his company for his extravagance spending His answer was so be it my company might not survive but the school will bloom for all eternity true enough his company went bankrupt and his descendant has to eke out living. An unusual character for Chinese who value common good more than his own immediate family. A great Nanyang Chinese His foundation still survive today. I am glad his sacrifice does not end in vain Xia da is now blooming with this shot and Fujian his beloved land is now one of the richest province in China.

No, no, no. This has nothing to do with the combined cycle engine test. It's a hypersonic glider project from Xiamen University from 2019. Dude, why are you doing this?

Yeah it has nothing to do with a combined cycle engine test. You can clearly see on the latest pictures that the missile has no air intakes at all. So there is no air augmentation. It is a pure rocket with gliding capability. I thought it might be a ducted rocket kind of like the Meteor missile but it doesn't even seem to be that.

no no,xter-1(jiageng-1) specifically reported for verification of hypersonic + ccengine,maybe I mislinked it to thistime report and there’s another excellent rocket,it still has that function and plan.6388C2BF-D655-4E69-8C4D-1B951DF50C60.jpeg
3 engines,6 year,2019- 2025,still fits a lot of relevant reports.
