You don't call it AVIC anymore. AVIC and COMAC combined and invested as stock and shareholders for a new umbrella company that puts most of China's engine makers into one banner: AECC or Aviation Engine Company of China.

QC is dropped for QD. It is RO not R0.

So here on, domestic engines are AECC.

Pardon guys to interrupt, but this topic is for jet-engines in the Air Force section and not for each and every gas turbine or naval powerplant!

Shall I move this part into the naval section or am I misunderstanding the post and missed the PLAAF relevance?

Isn't the chinese Institute 703 in charge of this. Why do they need this Technology transfer agreement in the first place if they have achieved self sufficiency and competitiveness with R0110 ?
I think this transfer was important to China.
I'd like to know much more about this. Btw,

explains in detail the exact necessity for procuring the H-25 technology.
No,R0110 is a project of AVIC but now AECC from the first day

Power station GT is a big market, and CSOC wants to get some share from it, also AECC.
But the big players are not them. Shanghai Electric Group Can produce F class GT in fully indigenous way, and H class in assembling way.

Dofang Electric Group can assemble J class GT

I have translated it (google translate )

Basically, don't expect WS-20 to be equipped in numbers aboard any Y-20 soon enough (as there are testing requirements yet to be met)
The same for CJ-1000A engines.
Edit: read and infer what you can.

Im not an expert, but WS-20 has been in flight testing for a long time, i think. Is this a sign of design problems and that the engine may have to be reworked ?? or is this a normal thing in aircraft engine development ?

very normal, high performance turbofan engine development takes years and years, unlike your smartphone or computer which take less than a year

But the WS-20 shouldnt take as long since it is also part of the Taihang family.

rumor says there was a major adjustment and upgrade to the requirement, so it's partially redoing...
