Just a general observation.

The obsession with self-reliance in tech isn't just good geopolitics. It's also good economics.
Electronics specialisation is associted with much higher incomes than China has now.

China already has a comparative advantage in this area, and it should be sufficient to boost China many rungs up the ladder for years to come.

CAA issued the airworthiness certificate to a domestic bio-aviation fuel producer. Every year, it can produce up to 100 thousand tons of aviation fuel from used cooking oil collected from restaurants and food processors. That's about the total amount of used cooking oil of a 10 million pop. city in China.

今天（9月19日），中国石化镇海炼化正式获得中国民航局颁发的生物航煤适航证书——技术标准规定项目批准书项目单，标志着我国首套生物航煤工业装置产出的规模化生物航煤将向整个民用航空市场销售。

生物航煤是可持续航空燃料的重要组成部分。中国首套生物航煤工业装置采用我国自主研发的生产技术，以餐饮废油为原料，年设计加工能力为10万吨，于今年6月产出首批纯生物航煤600多吨。该装置满负荷运行，一年基本能消化一座千万人口城市回收的“地沟油”。

据商务部网站19日消息，2022年1-8月，全国实际使用外资金额8927.4亿元人民币，按可比口径同比增长16.4%（下同），折合1384.1亿美元，增长20.2%。

从行业看，服务业实际使用外资金额6621.3亿元人民币，增长8.7%。高技术产业实际使用外资增长33.6%，其中高技术制造业增长43.1%，高技术服务业增长31%。

从来源地看，韩国、德国、日本、英国实际对华投资分别增长58.9%、30.3%、26.8%和17.2%（含通过自由港投资数据）。

从区域分布看，我国东部、中部、西部地区实际使用外资分别增长14.3%、27.6%和43%。

Chinese government released the stats of employment income by professions in 2021. The employment income include salary/wage, allowance, bonus, and pay for overtime, etc. It reflects the general market price of labour. Stock options are probably not counted as far as I can tell.

The 10% division is the lowest 10%, 90% is the highest 10%, 50% is the median.

The numbers are in 10 thousan yuans.

IIUC, the public employees (公务员) are not include in this stats.

In general the median pay of manufacturing workers are from 50k to ~70k, with more professions above 60k than below. Specifically, median pay of auto workers is 64.1k. Those who are in textile and wood processing are getting slightly less than 50k.

The farm workers make the lowest median pay of 36k. Workers in the finance sector has the highest median pay of 113.4k. That is even higher than the median pay of managers/directors at 88k. The median pay for ITC workers is 81.1k.
