Well sort of. I dont explicitly state I'm pro-China. But from my actions and lecturing, I think they have got a pretty good ideal.

The thing is though, most of my students are 16 to 19 years of age. And they don't hold very strong political views.

Relax, it's fine. If they wanted me, I would have "disappear" long time ago. Lol

Anyway, look at this snapshot of economic performance. Another win for the G7!

Not sure, the graph state "major" economies. And Australian economy is not major by any stretch of imagination. And although Canada is in the G7, it is still someway off the pace of the other 6 economies. Indeed, if California was a country, it would be bigger than Canada!

In any case with their quarter bounce back of below 2%. It wouldn't add anything to the growth rate of the western world, which is the key to my post regarding "another win" for the western economies ahead of their "summit of G7 nations".

A quarter of the surveyed companies are “onshoring” their supply chains by moving production lines into China or switching to suppliers with local production, according to the chamber. Only 9% of firms said they were considering moving any current or planned investment out, the lowest level on record.

This is why the second Cold War is just a bluster. During the first Cold War, the Western block had little economic entanglement with the Eastern Block, so it was possible to deal massive damage to the Soviet economy via sanctions and other economic measures. China is vastly different. If China only manufactured goods for Western countries, you can argue that they can shift production to India, Vietnam, etc. to hurt the Chinese economy via decoupling. However, China is now one of the largest consumer of imported goods as well. How could India and Vietnam replace Chinese consumption?

I am skeptical of the so-called "hard decoupling" unless the Hollywood China Bashing redline has been crossed. It is all just a show until Disney starts making propaganda films attacking Chinese human rights.

Bbbutt..16% of European companies are still being "forced tech transfer" by the big bad Chinese companies what about those corporations human rights? As you know according to the U.S. galactic laws as prescribed by their Supreme Court, corporations are people too which means it's entitled and appropriated all the legalities of every individual.
