Exports grew almost 28% in dollar terms in May from a year earlier, the customs administration said Monday, weaker than forecast and below the pace in April, but still well above historical growth rates
Imports soared 51.1%, the fastest pace since March 2010, leaving a trade surplus of $45.5 billion for the month.
Very solid trade data for China

Imports of iron ore and concentrate were up 85.5% by value in the first five months of the year, but only 6% by volume. Copper ore and concentrate imports were up 54.5% by value, but only 6.4% by volume.
What a disaster for inflation.. these are huge increases in value but so limited in volume increase. I doubt that China will hold any more from increasing prices

Only the economists! This is why my tutor never recommend to any of us this rag as required reading. Likewise now, I'm not recommending to my students either.

My college this summer is moving the library, and the librarian is asking me to sort put books and periodicals to be moved. Bearing in mind to throw out old and out of date books, periodicals and journals. To save them having to move it across.

Give you guys one guess which publications I don't want to move over! Lol

Does your students know you're pro-China? How do they feel?

Profile says from "UK". Mate I would be concerned if I was him.

You never know when they will "inevitably" cancel him for being a CPC agent

@Gatekeeper I am sure you know but please careful for expressing any Pro-China views in the UK. You are in this forum for a long time so you know how they cancel people

Yeah if you are using the internet, never reveal personal info beyond vague and open statements otherwise people can use it against you.

Well sort of. I dont explicitly state I'm pro-China. But from my actions and lecturing, I think they have got a pretty good ideal.

The thing is though, most of my students are 16 to 19 years of age. And they don't hold very strong political views.

Relax, it's fine. If they wanted me, I would have "disappear" long time ago. Lol

Anyway, look at this snapshot of economic performance. Another win for the G7!
