Not very recent but interesting.
Turns out deputy Gov of PBOC is ex vice mayor of Chongqing and has PhD from Stanford and JD from Harvard.

He also worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell before, a law firm that also has Jerome Powell and Andrew Yang as alumni.

Lately, I've been a fan of this channel.

Fascinating. These Chinese channels teach you in 12min you wont get from 12 months by watching Fox or CNN.

There is simply no English equivalent of this kind of content. If you go on YouTube or BiliBili, there are an abundance of this kind of in depth content,

Any number of these guy put to shame any of the IR shit I've studied in CGSC or War College.

For these content to prevail and proliferate, there must be a market. Which means on average, the young generation of Chinese wipe the floor with guys around me in their 40s and 50s.

Wow.

And also this channel:

The United States mouthpiece known as Mearsheimer liked to wax lyrical about how "you don't want the United States as an enemy".
Did it ever occur to Mearsheimer that he should have considered not making an enemy of China in the first place?
@ansy1968

When the Soviet Union was at its peak during the Cold War, the US economy was still more than 2x bigger.
The economic disparity with Nazi Germany, Imperial Germany or Imperial Japan was even greater.

So it is not a surprise that the US side would win a war.

In comparison, China is roughly the same size as the USA, depending on whether you use the undervalued exchange rate or use PPP which measures actual physical output.

And we can expect China to grow to 2x or 3x the size of the USA.

So yes, Mearsheimer should be thinking about how not to make China an enemy.
