Interesting that it was postponed for the following reason "due to the coronavirus pandemic, it would not be possible to hold (the summit) on the scheduled date, so it will be done later”.

Will be interesting to see if the G7 Summit in Sept will also be postponed.

Merkel already said she will not attend g7 in person.

Chancellor Merkel turned down the late-June summit and has not replied on Sept Summit. G7 had been postponed to September as mentioned on below article, So will the Sept-G7 Summit also be postponed again due to Coronavirus Pandemic.

Note: "Trump said on Saturday he was postponing until September the summit that had been scheduled for late June at Camp David, the U.S. president’s country retreat, and that he wanted to invite Australia, Russia, South Korea and India to the meeting. "

Also Camp David, located in Maryland is the 9th most cases per capita in the US.

True. But I don't see why China and the EU couldn't meet through teleconference. It's not like this is a G7 meeting. If the deal has fallen through, then China really needs to make sure that RCEP goes through, for the sake of more trade with ASEAN (which is starting to come back on from the virus).

True but logistically difficult for the host country perhaps? Unlike previous years where EU President Donald Tusk meets with Chinese representative. Merkel wanted to and did change the format for this years meeting. This year's summit was expanded to include all 27 EU leaders plus an invitation was extended to President Xi. President Xi, being a gracious invitee, can only show understanding.

What will this mean? I don't understand what economic benefit by removing apps. Is it advertising revenue? I'm not techy.

Indian app highlights backlash against Chinese business

NEW DELHI, June 2 — India’s top trending free app on Google’s mobile app store, with more than five million downloads since late May, is called “Remove China Apps” and does exactly what it says on the label.

Its popularity comes amid calls for a boycott of Chinese mobile apps in India as a Himalayan border dispute fuels a backlash against products from China.

This app was designed to hurt Chinese app developers, by highlighting their products for people to remove them. This can have a massive effect on the apps development industry in China as their apps are unable to reach a global audience.

As for what economic benefits these Chinese apps may bring to the developers that will depend on the nature of the app...
Games for example may be online games and run on a ‘pay to win’ system where people use real money to buy virtual coins, equipment, weapons etc to get a leg up on other players.
E-commerce apps, usually gets a % of total sales as revenue, some time ads too and attach new/more merchant and offer for their user base via user bases numbers / active user numbers.
Other app could be charging on per-use basis, some could be service based apps... the point is there could be many revenue source depending on the app

And google have already delisted this app, article from FT

Frankly they are once again shooting themselves in the foot as some of app companies would be investing heavily in India as well since it would be much easier then say something like manufacturing and a lot of Indian wouldn’t be using Chinese apps in the first place if there were already viable alternatives made in India.
