What they call "growth" I call inflation. But whatever.
If you deduce the inflation from the "growth" you get negative growth for the US.
US has negative growth right now even with inflation. So double negative growth = positive growth? Either way, US wins. Don't think too hard, folks! That's not the American way!

Jokes aside, it seems that US GDP predictions in recent years haven't been that accurate. I wonder how much of that is for US domestic consumption?

China's coal output up 10.5 pct in first four months

BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) -- China's raw coal output posted double-digit growth in the first four months of 2022, driven by policies to increase production and supply, official data showed.

The output jumped 10.5 percent year on year in the January-April period, according to the National Energy Administration.
In the first quarter, the country's raw coal imports dropped 24.2 percent to 51.81 million tonnes, the data showed.

Imports in April expanded 8.4 percent year on year, reversing the declining trend, according to the administration.

IPEF is a nothing-burger. Already multiple rumours that ASEAN countries are dissatisfied that the US says all these "nice" things but doesn't offer lower trade barriers

Basically, "show me the money"..

If IPEF prioritize geopolitics over economics, it will fail like the TPP, and for the same reasons.

Does not make sense for developing economies to join something that will hurt themselves. Even India balked at joining the sanction on Russia.
