Nationalism driven purchases don't last long anywhere . Ultimately what the consumer looks for is price, variety & quality on offer.
It reminds me of the wave of nationalism in India post Galwan where Chinese electronics were boycotted. Samsung gained a lot and became the leader for that quarter but eventually it all faded away and now Chinese companies are back to dominating the market (infact increased the market share).

WTF is that headline?

Anta has financial worries hidden by the rise of nationalism, and the owners are taking advatage of what is believed to be a temporary a rise in share value and cashed out some shares.

a brief outline of Antas problem described by the writer of the article

, its major domestic competitor, despite having larger market share, according to Citigroup. Li Ning's sales grew twice as fast as Anta’s in the first quarter. It also has to replenish its coffers after leading a consortium to splurge $5 billion on Finnish firm Amer Sports in 2019, which continues to lose money. The new cash will come in handy, and the Dings retain control. Either way, for China Inc, it’s risky to rely too much on patriotic outrage for the bottom line.

The 7000 series train left Chicago's O'Hare International Airport station at 5:00 local time on April 21, and all eight cars were assembled at CRRC Qingdao Sifang's manufacturing facility in Chicago.
The train features a new headlight and taillight layout, an improved suspension system, and a top speed of 70 mph (about 113 km/h). The cabins are equipped with LED lighting and passenger information systems.
The Chicago Transit Authority began no-load testing of the 10 7000 series cars delivered by CRRC Qingdao Sifang in the summer of 2020, the report said.
The test run will last for at least nine months, after which CRRC Qingdao Sifang will begin mass production and delivery of the 7000 Series subway cars.

CRRC Qingdao Sifang won a $1.3 billion contract to assemble 846 subway cars in Chicago in 2016.
Following the start of the project, CRRC Qingdao Sifang built a plant on the south side of Chicago to manufacture and assemble the vehicles, the city's first railcar manufacturing facility in more than 50 years.

That sure gonna be a nice looking subway trains compared to one from Alstom.
@Kazuo Ken and a nice advertisement for made in China. bro I'm not belittling Japan in fact I want her to regain her mojo again like in the 80's and 90's we're Asian , Japan show us the way and we are grateful, but in order to help she must help herself first and sadly her politician lack that vision being a prideful nation surely had its drawback. If Japan use her remaining tech advantages and invest it in China at least her product will be more competitive and the synergy it create is a way for Japan to regain her independent from the shackle of American hegemony.
