SHANGHAI - The Shanghai Astronomy Museum, the world's largest planetarium in terms of building scale, officially opened on Saturday.
Covering approximately 58,600 square meters, the museum is in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lingang Special Area. As a branch of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum (SSTM), it will be open to the public on Sunday.

The museum features innovative architecture, exhibition areas with various themes, immersive technologies, and precious collections.

The 31th Qingdao International Beer Festival, dubbed "Asia's Oktoberfest", kicked off in grand style on Friday in Qingdao, Shandong province.

The coastal city's mayor Zhao Haozhi announced the opening of the 24-day event and opened the first barrel of beer during the opening ceremony.



This year the festival features 1,600 kinds of beer from over 40 countries and regions, as well as various snacks and delicacies from all over the world, according to organizers.

The total outputs have reached 263,000 tons, an increase of 15.83 percent from the last year.

The satellites were sent into orbit by a Long March-2C carrier rocket. This is the 10th group belonging to the Yaogan-30 family. Also aboard was Tianqi-15, a satellite belonging to the Tianqi constellation. It was the 380th mission of the Long March rocket series.

Built by Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited, the luxury ro-ro passenger ship is the first project of this kind in cooperation between China and Algeria.

The ship is 200 meters long, 30 meters wide, and has a designed draft of 6.7 meters and a designed speed of up to 24 knots. It can accommodate 1,800 passengers and 600 vehicles at the same time. With 3 stern doors and 12 decks, the ship has a variety of function-rich restaurants and catering areas, open-air amusement areas, duty-free shops, bars and other public places for passengers.
