This is what I mean the controversy
According to AVIC's records

October 14th, 1966 the replication task of An 24 was offically named by project Y-7
and the work was given to AVIC Hongdu (now known for manufacturing K-8 and JL-10)
by that time Hongdu was attempting to replicate the IL 14M and failing to improve and enlarge its size(AKA abandoned project Y-6)
March 1968 all design drawings, technical conditions, and process equipment design drawings and process specifications have been finally determined and Preparing to manufacture the prototype

October 25, 1968 All Y-7 projects taken over by XAC(unkonwn reason but clearly caused by politics )

December 25, 1970 Two weeks after the first aircraft was assembled, Y-7 successfully took its maiden flight

It is obvious that if the information provided by AVIC is reliable, the overall system progress of Z-6 is faster than the AN-24 replication project

and WZ5 has a factory code of 792, and this engine first appeared in the preliminary engineering demonstration of Z-6 as an available power in August 1966

The timeline highly overlaps, but is not completely consistent and belongs to different factorys

that's all i found
i am also curious about the history of this turboshaft engine which made by AVIC Harbin 120 factory

According to AVIC's China Aviation News
Z-6 shares 43% element parts with Z-5/Mi-4 and 26% finished products

Finally, it seems that the authorities do not care at all about the preciousness of these histories
bit disgusting
A little additional informationa about Hongdu plans to produce IL-14:

Head of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense Marshal Nie Rongzhen
At the meeting of October 27, 1965 pointed out that the imitation of the IL-14 has fallen behind generation and required all units to come up with new plan with turbine engine in 3 years.

AC311A helicopter successfully completed a flight test with a load of 325 kg in Lhasa, which is 3,680 meters above sea level
Judging from the aircraft's paint, it's likely put into service in the Ministry of Emergency Management's Tibet Regional Aviation Rescue Unit

China has officially established the Civil Aviation Flight Test Center (under the aegis of AVIC) in Pucheng, Shaanxi. The center will be a backbone piece of the Chinese civil aviation industry going forward, tasked with carrying out certification testing of aircraft and subsystems, developing flight testing related technologies, and assisting in the development of China's civil aviation product roadmap.
