You didn't even click the link, but knew the passage was from Richard Fisher's website? I'm impressed.
I think the Strategy Center website is still up, but they haven't put anything up in over four years.

I think Strategy Center going on hiatus (at least with public publications) might have to do with the Steele dossier (of Trump pee tape fame), which Glenn Simpson (of GPS Fusion, and also a Strategy Center fellow) commissioned Christopher Steele to write. Looks like that made them poison with the right wing here in America.

They deleted Simpson from the IASC website, which is pretty f**king cowardly.

I know it has been posted before but this article has some tidbit about CJ1000. I don't know what it mean by "special certification" It generally take decade or two to develop civilian engine and CJ 1000 development time is less than a decade assuming the start feasibility study in 2010
A model of the CJ-1000Al was exhibited at the AVIC booth of the September 2011

The development of the China-made engine has been scheduled for special certification of the C919, said Liu Daxiang, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, adding that its model, the Changjiang-1000, is being developed by the Aero Engine Corporation of China and has broken through several key technologies.

Shanghai will push for the airworthiness certificate and delivery of the China-made aircraft Comac C919 in 2021, mentioned the Shanghai Two Sessions held on January 25.
The Comac C919 is a large jet civil aircraft developed by China in accordance with international civil aviation regulations and with its own intellectual property rights.

Before that, the C919 has already conducted test flights in various environments. For example, last week it completed an alpine special test flight mission in Hulunbuir at less than -20 degrees Celsius.
The C919 landed at Wuhan Tianhe Airport on December 21, its first test flight at a 4F airport other than its home base at Shanghai Pudong Airport, meaning it is one step closer to airworthiness certificate delivery.

In addition, Shanghai will also promote the launch of the new SAIC Roewe R series and the start of the second phase of the Tesla project in 2021.

An illustration from a research paper on supersonic passenger planes. It shows one particular configuration. I think the illustration says the cruising speed is Mach 1.6 at an altitude of 18km. Leading edge angle of sweep is 65.5 degrees, and trailing edge sweep is 58 degrees. Someone please help me translate the rest.

The area could be wing area (129.816 m2), direct translation said it's "reference area". Then it should be wingspan? I'm not sure, GT said it's "half length", whatever that means. Next are outer wing dihedral, and lastly aspect ratio.

At the bottom are cruise Mach number, lift coefficient, altitude, and Reynolds number.

AG600 production has commenced:

1月26日下午,随着中航西飞部件装配现场铆枪声响起,大型灭火:水上救援水陆两栖飞机AG600首个大部件正式开铆,标志着中航西飞开启AG600项目攻坚战。

On the afternoon of January 26, accompanied by the sound of riveting guns at the assembly line of AVIC Xifei, the first major component of the amphibious fire-fighting and rescue plane AG600 was officially riveted, marking the start of the AG600 project at AVIC Xifei.

A correction is in order. I misinterpreted the (vague) words of the Weibo user to mean official production of AG600 has begun. This isn't true. Only parts fabrication has begun for a third example of AG600.

The banner in the image below reads "Commencement Ceremony for Parts Fabrication for Airframe 003 of AG600".

So some sort of a pre-production airframe?

I'm not certain. It could be, given previous reports of the project's successes, albeit with a delay of a year to resolve some problems of unknown nature. So it wouldn't surprise me if it has progressed to LRIP phase.

Area is “reference wing area”, which is the total wing area if you extend the leading and trailing edge sweep until they meet. 半展长 is the half span length of the wing.

AC352 helicopter completes low-temperature flight test
Source: Xinhua | 2021-02-06 01:55:33 | Editor: huaxia

BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- The AC352 mid-sized utility helicopter has completed a low-temperature flight test, the China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) announced on Friday.

It marked a significant step forward for this civilian helicopter model to receive its airworthiness certification tests, the AVIC said.

The AC352 conducted the low-temperature flight test and other tests on its aero-engine performance at Jiansanjiang airport, in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.

During the flight tests, which lasted 29 days, the AC352 conducted 33 flight hours and 54 flight movements. It completed 29 related subjects to verify its performance in a low-temperature environment at minus 30 degrees centigrade.

Developed by AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry, the AC352 is a mid-sized twin-engine utility helicopter. It can carry up to 16 passengers with a 7.5-tonne maximum take-off weight and a maximum range of 1,000 kilometers.

In the next step, professionals will further verify the AC352's performance in a regular environment, according to the AVIC.
