Chinese Air Force exports thread

What would be interesting to know is the degree of customisation that they asked for to the platfom and the additional types (Turkish) munitions it could carry(if any).
Practically impossible unless a Turkified variant is somehow developed that swaps the Chinese avionics for Turkish systems.

At best, you could integrate the SOM missile (it's already integrated to modernized Azeri Su-25s) and the locally assembled Turkish guidance kits. And while Aselpod is already integrated, that’s far simpler than trying to integrate the AAMs of a NATO-member into the mission computer, radar and other systems of a Chinese‑origin fighter.

I think they'll be ask Israeli to help modification upgrades, like IAI Opal airborne systems with ice breaker missile, spice bombs and rampage air launched ballistic missile.

Turkey is their closest ally, the one that has stood by them through the toughest times (literal brothership), and they’ve consistently chosen Turkish munitions for their aircraft. If they were to demand integration of a payload, it would most likely be Turkish.

Moreover, Turkish defence industry has counterparts to every Israeli product you’ve mentioned.

It's not about the brotherhoods etc, it's about political diversification. They don't wanna put all their eggs in one basket. If you taking about the su-25 lacin aselsan upgrade program, it's not more than 1 or 2 prototypes. Israel weapons more successful on the world market.

You're free to think whatever you want; I don’t have to spend my time convincing you. We're diverging from the topic, so I’m not going to discuss it further here. You can message me if you’d like, but I’d rather spend my time doing something else.

What I can say about Israel is that they've had an indigenous defense industry for longer than Turkey, and Turkey has caught up in (most) areas relatively recently. Heck, they have ICBMs & nukes, access to the F-35's mission computer to develop their own variant (which no other customer has access to), and Germany literally provides them with a second-strike capability, no questions asked. I could go on and on about this because they've always had easy access to newly developed, critical Western technology, and nobody bats an eye at their activities, even though they’d bomb Iran into the Stone Age for much less.

I'm aware of Azerbaijan's relations with Israel, but those are based on mutual interests in containing Iran. Meanwhile, Turkey has always been there and will continue to support Azerbaijan to the full extent in whatever they do. Azerbaijan procures Israeli drones, ballistic missiles, and air defense systems; I'm obviously aware of that. They also work with Turkey on these or other areas, which specifically steers its industry to set up local production facilities for the relatively small investment that Azerbaijan makes.

Cheers
