China must take the gloves off.

Even now it rarely refers directly to the US or any other country. Sometimes during press conferences they just say "certain countries". When they counter-attack they use some old news like the amerindian genocide when they should be using much newer issues.

I think it is a smart move for them not to take it off yet. It's not yet the time.

The US faces an uphill task presenting itself as the chief guardian of global democracy, according to a new poll that shows the US is seen around the world as more of a threat to democracy than even Russia and China.
The poll finds support for democracy remains high even though citizens in democratic countries rate their governments’ handling of the Covid crisis less well than people in less democratic countries.
Inequality is seen as the biggest threat to global democracy, but in the US the power of big tech companies is also seen as a challenge.
The findings come in a poll commissioned by the Alliance of Democracies Foundation among 50,000 respondents in 53 countries.

The results will make stark reading for the G7 foreign ministers as they hold a final day of talks in London in which they have collectively assumed the role as

To be fair, they have, witness Alaska, thing is the West has a very narrow field of vision, China isn't playing to the Choir, good luck trying to convince average joe in the US their society needs change! However, the messaging resonates well in the global south, its just inside the western media bubble it doesn't seem that way! Western history is so littered with tragic episodes most of the time you don't need to ram it down people's throat!

What objectives? Original objectives or lowered objectives?
In each of those cases China was able to maintain "the buffer zone" state or region. China intervention in Korea preserve the North Korean regime that act as a buffer zone against the heartland of China Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei.
Ditto with Tibet though Tibet has little economical value but it is strategically important. By beating the Indian they dare not to meddle or help the Tibetan secessionist and force the Indian to spend huge sum of money on defense to the detrimental of her economic development and therefore preventing rival country emerge in China southern border.

Vietnam was neutralized(finlandized) thru the border war and therefore prevent her to become hegemon in SEA
China intervention did preserve the Cambodian independent.

Unable to name US is a smart move? CN jsut can't do it effectively.
CN media openly talk about US war crimes only after US talk about the genocide in Xinjiang.
So CN did not take of yet just because they were expecting US also not to do it. CN still let US setting the narrative and waste time running behind...

China should be blasting the US daily with horrific photos of their war crimes in the middle east. A new dead civilian on the news every day until the US calls their media to back off

No, that is a useless move, because the Chinese media only really interacts with Mandarin speaking audience, which by the look of things are already unified in their distaste of Western racism and lies.

The problem with really ramping up anti-Western and anti-US rhetoric is that it can quickly spin out of control.

Here in the US, we have people with flag grade/SES regurgitating bullshit they see on reports at all levels, which ultimately always comes back to the fake stories in MSM (Uyghur genocide). When asked, the most critical thinking among them would say "where there is smoke, there must be fire". Pretty soon, everyone's on the bullshit train. That cannot be good from a national policy and strategy standpoint.

People are too steeped in the bullshit to reassess their world view.

Sure, everyone feels good beating back the evil Chinese empire, but let's check in 10 years later on how it impacted Asian talent retention in the US, or how the xenophobic CFIUS process will bar innovation and investment.

As for the middle east, they are well reminded of what happened, everyday.

US is INCREDIBLY short sighted in everything it does, and only by maintaining composure and balance can challenger beat the incumbent. Right now the US public is sleep walking into financial catastrophe. They are too high on helicopter money to reassess their delusion.

Well said..! I really hope more Asian talent start flowing back to Asia overtime, what with the blatant racism being meted out in the U.S and some parts of Europe and Australia.
Many US Citizens are so brainwashed by their own Media, they do not even realise how indoctrinated they are. The US is already ideologically set, and China is already an undeclared enemy whether it is mentioned or not.
" An ideological enemy is the most dangerous kind of enemy" because nothing you do or say, even with the best of intentions can sway their mind, since their ideology dictates that any human that does not conform to their ideology is a mortal enemy. Period.

Dr.Michio Kaku once stated that the secret 'superpower' of the united States is the H1B Visa. Many US citizens seem to be forgetting about this. They think it is their God-given right to the best of everything and that it is their right to rule the world. While the US runs amok creating havoc in the world, majority of US Citizens are seeing their living standards go down.
I cannot even believe that with the number of homeless people living in the United States and the amount of Violent crimes being committed daily in many US cities, the US Politicians have the nerve to go about lecturing people on Governance.

I sincerely hope that in the decades to come, more Asians will start returning to their own countries. There will indeed be a painful and rude awakening for a lot of US 'nationalists' down the line.
It will be better for the world at large.
